Hi friend! I’m Erin, a twenty something teacher and I live in Sydney, Australia.

Welcome to my blog. I guess if you like Beyonce, kind of weird stories about other people’s lives and delicious food, YOU ARE IN THE RIGHT PLACE. I know there are lots of other places on the internet with stories and food, so thanks so much for coming here! 

I also quite like to get crafty and make lovely things, so this might pop up on the blog from time to time, but food is my FIRST love. 

Where did the food love come from? I’m not sure. I do remember that, from about 7, I’d wake up super early, terrorise the kitchen and raid the spice rack to make scrambled eggs on a Saturday morning. If I can tell you one thing I learned from that, it would be: garlic salt/paprika/dried parsley is not a winning combo. I guess I’ve always loved cooking, but never really knew how much I loved it.

After totally bombing my high school, I worked full time in a super sad debt collection agency. It lasted about 5 minutes until I decided I wanted to be a teacher. So I did. I studied a Bachelor of Teaching in Technology and became a Home Economics teacher in 2012.

So now, in 2016, I hang out with high school kids and teach them to cook and sew. It is simultaneously joyful and disheartening. I love it, but the increasing demands of the job, means that one day it’ll be time to say goodbye. 

My love for creating really grew throughout my degree and even more over the past few years. I am happiest when I am making and photographing things and love sharing on this blog. The friends and readers I have gained here make it all worth while.
