Chai Frappe - erinmadethis-3

Fast, cheap, and easy. A good criteria for a summer drink, ammiright? I would often grab a nice chilled drink from a pretty popular drink chain until I admitted that they can’t make coffee for shit, they’re expensive, full of sugar, and I actually don’t like the taste.

So when I discovered this Chai Frappe, all my problems were solved. This frappe requires you to put the contents of an entire Chai tea bag in the blender with your milk. Total genius bought to you by Healing Belle and The Whole Pantry. The result is a sweet, icy drink with a surprisingly spicy kick – all within 60 seconds! Now get that blender cranking.

Total Time
1 min
  1. 1 cup of milk {I love almond here}
  2. 2 cups of ice
  3. 1/2 banana
  4. 1 chai tea bag, cut open and tea separated
  5. Honey, to sweeten
  1. Place all of the ingredients in a blender.
  2. Blend until smooth.
  3. Place in a glass and drink!
  1. A tea bag is ideal because you often get whole spices in loose leaf chai. These may not blend!

    I did a chai tea smoothie last week very similar but I used the lazy powder version. Lol
    I have made a batch of chai tea and kept in the fridge all infused in it’s delicious spices. So yum.
    My go to drink when I was pregnant so brings back memories. But I so agree with you, the drink chains are So pricy, you barely get change from a $10 these days nuts. Sickly sweet & full of goodness knows what.
    So much better to make your own especially q&a when it’s this delicious!
